I Build 3 Companies Solo. AI Is My Team.
I have no employees. No co-founders. No office. No venture capital. What I have is 25+ years of engineering experience, a laptop, WiFi, and AI agents that work 24/7. In 6 months, I launched three companies: Schubert Motors USA (hypercar manufacturer), Aerosyn (robotics and AI systems), and BAMF Semiconductor (custom silicon design).
This is how I do it. And why solo founders with AI are the most dangerous competitors in the market.
The Three Companies
Schubert Motors USA — 5 American Hypercars. 2,000 HP Cyclotis. $427K Foundry 427. 427 cu in supercharged V8 with Schubox Axial Flux hybrid. Live Stripe deposits. Full website, SEO, structured data, vehicle lineup. Built solo. schubertmotorsusa.com
Aerosyn Inc. — Robotics pilots and edge AI systems. Modular actuator architecture. NSF SBIR Phase I application submitted ($275K). Website live at aerosyn.co. Otto AI master technician system built.
BAMF Semiconductor — Custom silicon design house. Developing a SiC inverter controller ASIC for the Schubox Axial Flux system. 4 patents pending. Custom chip design workflow built.
The AI Team
I run 22 large language models across 5 GPUs. Each model has a job: code generation (deepseek-v4, qwen3-coder:30b), content synthesis (gemma4:26b, deepseek-r1:32b), fast iteration (qwen3:8b), and embeddings (all-MiniLM-L6-v2 via FastEmbed). These aren't chatbots — they're production workers.
My AI Stack:
• 5 machines, 6 GPUs, 22 models
• Ollama for model serving (24/7 systemd services)
• ChromaDB for vector search (32K+ documents indexed)
• RAG pipeline: vector search → BM25 reranking → LLM-as-judge filtering
• Odysseus AI workspace on :7000 (7 MCP servers)
• OpenCode, Codex, Claude Code for autonomous development
• Zero cloud costs. Zero API bills.
What AI Does For Me
AI handles the tasks that I'd otherwise need a team for: drafting blog posts (yes, this one started as an AI output), generating code scaffolds, reviewing PRDs, optimizing SEO, converting images, generating social content, and handling the grunt work of deployment.
But I handle the architecture. I make the design decisions. I review every line that ships. I know where every bolt goes in every engine, where every wire routes in every harness, where every transistor switches in every chip design. AI accelerates execution, but human judgment — 25 years of it — steers the ship.
Why Solo + AI Works
The traditional startup model is broken for hardware companies. You raise $5M. You hire 30 people. You spend 18 months building. You run out of money. I inverted this: build for $0, using AI as velocity multiplier, until revenue validates the model. No dilution. No burn rate. No investors to manage. Just build, ship, repeat.
